First a component exchange parameter dataset is a “normal” parameter dataset with the addition that this parameter
dataset is only used to encode the operation key in this program task.
As a “normal” parameter
dataset a component exchange parameter dataset used in the current program task
is n o t en-/decoded as a normal dataset but it is
changed by storing the final state of the coding parameters. That is why you
should make a copy of a component exchange parameter dataset before processing
to be able to fall back on a protected processing state. This copy can be
deleted or can be overwritten by the new generated component exchange parameter
dataset after successful processing.
As a “normal” parameter
dataset a component exchange parameter dataset can be saved by a key (parameter dataset key) used again to protect the final
parameter state of this dataset. If doing so, you can enter these information
in the mask fields shown.
To be able to leave a
“normal” parameter dataset unchanged (the stream
cipher state is not saved in it) you can activate the corresponding checkbox
filed below the name filed of the component exchange parameter dataset.
